Tablescapes from Christmas 2020.
The inaugural year for Nicholas Creek Village
Putz houses, Glitter houses, Christmas villages.
Whatever you choose to call them, these miniature worlds have long been a Christmas tradition appearing under Christmas trees, on tables and shelves, or on mantelpieces.
Nicholas Creek Village can't be located on any map. It springs from my imagination and lives in the hearts of all that come to visit its many homes and business.
This wonderful world is crafted primarily in 30pt chipboard with some wooden and natural material accents. Each original design is individually cut out, painted, decorated, assembled, and landscaped completely by hand. I design doors, windows and other printed accents on my computer and print on paper. The pieces can be illuminated by placing a small LED or other low temperature light through the access hole in the back of each structure. But care must be taken as each piece is made of primarily of chipboard and paper.
